Dada Life – May 2012 Mix [Banging EDM Mixtape]

With so many mixtapes floating around the edm world – I had to make it easy for you with this one. Dada Life’s May 2012 Mix takes you for a ride and leaves you begging for more.  Within the first few minutes you’ll get a taste of Chuckie and Gregori Klosman’s “The Numb3r5”, Hard Rock Sofa and Swanky Tunes, “The Edge”, and Laidback Luke’s most recent track “1234”.

Don’t worry, “Rolling Stone T-Shirt” made it into the mix and my personal favorite, Dada’s remix of Kaskade’s “Llove” which made its debut at Coachella. Rest assured, Dada leaves no stone unturned with this one.

Electric Daisy Carnival NYC 2012 – Full Sets + Downloads [Madeon, Armin, Cosmic Gate, Chase & Status]

EDC NYC is taking over the Big Apple as we speak. Top-shelf production group Insomniac Events brought the premiere west coast electronic festival experience to MetLife Stadium this Summer. For those of us bootstrapped east coast edm fans, Insomniac’s presence on this side of the Mississippi is a win in every way possible for the scene as a whole.

Here are some semi real-time live sets from Madeon, Armin van Buuren, Cosmic Gate, and Chase & Status with downloads. Hoping this will help ease the pain for any of you not in New York right meow.

Tracklists after the jump.

Gareth Emery – The Saga [New Track + Podcast 184 Download]

Gareth Emery is every female trance fiends dream. I’ve seen floods of tears during ‘Concrete Angel‘. Today I bring you his Podcast 184, where he discretely began with a massive new track called ‘The Saga’ right before dropping Glenn Morrison’s new bit ‘Marquee’.

‘The Saga’ is a little bit more aggressive electro or tech-trance than your typical Emery fix.  I’ve seen feedback saying that he brought too many ideas and sounds to the track but in my opinion, I respect his decision to NOT play it safe. Too many times songs are boring and repetitive to the genre in general.

Diplo – Set It Off [Ft. Lazerdisk Party Sex] (Moombah Fire)

Here is a new moombahton collab from Diplo and Lazerdisk Party Sex, furthermore proving that Diplo can do whatever he wants too. This is some hip gyrating fire which has officially heightened my urge to catch him live somewhere this summer.

‘Set It Off’ is a single from the coming ‘Express Yourself EP‘. Set for release on June 12, the EP will include the ‘Express Yourself‘ track we featured as well as a collaboration with Datsik. Tracklist provided after the jump.

The Mad Decent figurehead just keeps bringing the good shit and I’ve been really impressed with some of his moombah collabs of late. Check out his work with Vato Gonzalez on ‘Rasclat Riddim’. Also, follow Diplo on twitter. Just take my word for it.

Justin Bieber – Boyfriend [Dada Life Remix]

Realm of electronica potentially catching Bieber fever? You can probably feel safe that there shan’t be a plague but don’t be reluctant to think this will be the only remix of ‘Boyfriend‘ you hear.  There is a remix package releasing soon which includes this one by Dada Life and one from Oliver Twizt, among others.

Not even going to lie, I didn’t hate the original from Justin. Fuck it i’ll even say it’s admittedly catchy. This electro remix from Dada Life is wayyy tastier though. And let’s be serious if you didn’t already know the original you wouldn’t even know it was Bieber. This is an absolute banger. Stop hating and just dance.

Eyes – Great View of the Moon [Kaskade Cover]

Great View of the Moon

From Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Ryan Stapleton and Ian Miller are Great View of the Moon. This is a chill remix of Kaskade’s hit “Eyes” that’s definitely worth listening to. The song is featured in Kaskade’s newly released Ultra Music Festival & Miami Music Week recap video and is quickly becoming one of my personal favorites.

Chuckie & Gregori Klosman – The Numb3r5 [Club Mix]

Chuckie and Gregori Klosman (check out his Room For Happiness remix) return to collaborate and build on their success from Mutfatka, their last release together. The Numb3r5 is a definitive European club track that brings both producers natural styles, without one overpowering the other. It’s progressive with a melodic electro edge.

With an upcoming collaboration with Quinez, you can safely add Klosman to the list of candidates for biggest 2012.
